The 19th International Conference of Density Functional Theory and its Applications will take place in Brussels (Belgium) in August-September of 2022. It will be the most recent edition of a series of biennial meetings, which were held in Paris (1995), Vienna (1997), Rome (1999), Madrid (2001), Brussels (2003), Geneva (2005), Amsterdam (2007), Lyon (2009), Athens (2011), Durham (2013), Debrecen (2015), Tällberg (2017) and Alicante (2019). Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the conference was postponed for one year.
Density functional theory (DFT) is today’s most widely used method for practical computational electronic structure calculations across chemistry, physics and materials science. The conference covers a broad range of topics in the field, from the latest theoretical developments to cutting-edge applications in chemistry and physics, bringing together scientists from all over the world. The scientific program extends over five days, and consists of 10 plenary and 15 invited lectures by internationally renowned speakers, presenting the current state-of-the-art in the field. In addition, a total of 33 slots for contributed talks provide the opportunity to present your research at the world’s largest platform for DFT developers and users. Contributions to the following topics are warmly welcome:
It is a pleasure to welcome you in the beautiful capital of Europe!
